I survived!!

My Darling Husband down the Huon Valley on our Anniversary 09

Yes I survived 6 whole days without touching a computer or seeing anything online. We didn't have time to miss it really. With catching up with friends and Christopher, then when Michael's parents came home we were busy catching up with them. So it was a busy whirlwind visit and we are sort of glad to be home and back in our comfort zone as is usually the case with visits. It was pretty cold down in Tassie too, 2 degrees last night and thank god for my MIL Ila and her hot water bottles LOL.

I will post a few pics for you all, Christopher scored a job with an IT department of a water company till the end of June so he was working most of the time we were there, we only caught up with him on Anzac Day and Sunday when we went to the markets and last night when he and his girlfriend Jess came over for dinner. Well for a more indepth blow by blow description you'll have to check out TAZ's blog for his timtable LOL.

Christopher really needed a haircut so there are before and after pics of him. Plus some of my friends I went and visited. Not many of us together though as there was nobody around on our Anniversary to take a pic. We spent the day driving down the Huon Valley and had dinner that night at the pub down the road with a few quiet drinks back home at Michael's parents place. We had their house for the first three days to ourselves till they came home from their caravanning trip on the Sunday.
Michael, Me, John and Ila, just before we came home.

Me at Ida Bay Railroad Cafe, on our anniversary 24th April 09

Chris's Hair when we got to Tassie, this is about half an hour after I saw it, we are at the hairdressers getting it cut !!! Yes Motherly rights still apply when it comes to his hair being this out of control. After, much better don't you think!!??

Okay gotta go, I am getting a migraine!!! rushing about too much trying to get stuff done I guess.

Have a great day!!

Something Huge is coming to SAS in May!!!

I can finally tell you all that something big is happening in May at SAS, next month there is going to be an 'Extreme SAS Makeover' competition, how cool is that. Every Member will have the opportunity to design the new look of SAS. They'll be some great prizes for the winners and some awesome downloads from the SAS Designers for everyone so clear your schedule for May now and get ready for a month long funfest.

A Layout and a Speed Scrap Chat announcement!!

Well yesterday I took our terrier Shona for a beauty treatment. she got the works at the local beauty salon for dogs, and look at the difference. She is looking younger with all that grey cut off.
She's off to stay at the kennel next week so I thought it would make it easier for all concerned if she had a trim and her nails trimmed up too. So I am now thinkin will she be too cold LOL.
Not looking too shabby for a 14 year old is she!?
Also check this out on Saturday, gotta love a speed scrap chat at OSS

check it out at 8 PM EST in the chat room at http://www.onesingleseed.com/

I have a posting bonus for those who complete a layout.
Also for those trying to get the lilypond Welcome/Thankyou gift at SAS please be patient, there is so much traffic that it has slowed the site a little.
Have a great day and I'll pop back later with some more news

Happy Easter!!

Very Quiet one for us, Michael is working and I am working LOL. What's new I hear you say, nothing but he is goin on holidays shortly and will be hell to live with. You see he doesn't do Holidays well. He gets bored and what else can you expect from a work-a-holic. Should be interesting actually, we are going to Tassie to see Christopher and are Staying at his parents' place, but they will be away so I can see us getting really bored together. I am not taking my laptop cause we got cheap cabin baggage only fares LOL. I wonder if we will have killed eachother by the end of that week.
No we should be okay, hopefully everyone we want to visit will be home and we can go do a driving tour or something if they aren't. We're sleeping on a sofa bed so I'm not too sure how much quality sleep we'll get. sigh
Now enough of that onto business LOL.
A new kit. This is called Just Jo. Jo is one of my Greatest real life friends, you know what I mean she's not an online friend. We used to work together, she was my Boss!!! And my bridesmaid too. Whenever I get a text message it is usually Just Jo checking in on us. So that's where the name came from. It's a pretty kit with rich papers and elements. Plus an alpha. It has 18 papers and 38 elements.
Here's a preview and a layout, some close ups too. It's going to be in all stores by tomorrow night but it's already up at SAS and it'll be 40% off till 22nd April.

Check out the links in the margin at the top of the page for my store links.

Now last year around this time we went for a romantic night in the Blue Mountains northwest of sydney in an 1800's bath house, huge mansion of a Hotel with wonderful architecture and furnishings. you might remember the layouts and photos I posted if you were reading my blog last year. Anyway we got the whole restaurant to ourselves because we went on a Wednesday in cold weather so it wasn't very busy and it is quite expensive but let me tell you it was soo worth it. We had everything we could, even port after dinner in front of the open fireplace in the lobby. Just like in a chick flick LOL. So this is the dessert we ordered and shared between us, way too rich to eat all of it on our own on top of the luscious dinner we had.

It's our anniversary on 24th April so we will be in Tassie for it this year. 5 years already.

Okay that's it for now, gotta go get this kit up and do some other stuff.
Have a wonderful Easter Weekend.

New mini and a free QP

Well it's been a super busy two weeks with all that's been going on at all my stores but I did manage to get a Minikit done as well as my other commitments. I made this kit for a special event coming soon, so you'll have to wait a day or two for that announcement but I have a freebie for you from my Serenade Minikit and a layout to share. Plus there is also my speed scrap result. I had so much fun doing the speed scraps over at Onesingleseed.com. If you haven't participated in a speed scrap chat, you really should try it, it's so much fun and you get to chat and know eachother better plus you get a layout done all at the same time. Now that might sound a bit daunting but the steps are always posted in the forum thread and you have another hour after the chat to do your fixing up and finishing touches.

Well it's all happening at SAS too, the brainstorming is like a tornado at the moment and just wait till you see all the fun we are going to be having this year at the New Improved SAS, it's gonna blow your mind, seriously.

But ya still gotta wait LOL. I know Hurry up and wait, it's the story of my life, let me tell you!!

Okay so we are getting ready for Michael's holidays (3 whole weeks) so we are going to spend some of them away visiting friends and family and (most importantly) our son Chritopher, who I haven't seen for nearly a year OMG, I miss him!!!

He has had a really rough year and things are just starting to look better for him at last. I am hoping that once he gets his tax refund he can pay off his car and get back on the track to a better job and maybe even a move closer to us. He isn't getting anywhere where he is and I feel the longer he leaves it the harder it will become to get back to what he wants.

enough of that,... don't want to get you depressed LOL.

So Michael is working an overtime shift (which is good cause Sundays are super rate) and I am here on my lonesome again. Thus you snag a freebie out of it LOL.

Alright, if you managed to read all that without skipping it all and scrolling straight to the download, thanks for listening LOL. here is the free Quickpage with my new minikit Serenade.

If you know somebody who would like it send them here to my blog and don't share the file.
Yada Yada Yada, you know the drill.

Here is my layout I made for the speedscrap, it's Robbie, my Mum's West Highland Terrier and Lord of the Manor, obviously LOL. The kit is my Pretty Please Kit.
My Nursery Nostalgia Collaboration with Lisa West is the kit I used for these next two layouts

of Christopher when he was little. Isn't he just the cutest, you could tell back then he was going to be gorgeous as a man.The layout below I also did for my journalling challenge over at SAS. Your challenge this month is to scrap about something anything that has to do with fools or April Fools or being foolish. I have a free posting Bonus for everyone who completes and posts a layout this month for this challenge.

This one is created with my Pretty Please Kit and is for my font Challenge at SAS, the font this month is Fantastic Pete. Why not come and join in the fun. You can snag a free alpha if you join in on the font challenge.

Okay before I go I just gotta show you this layout by Stephanie aka RatherBScrappin from OSS, she did this layout for me using the collab kit I did with Lisa West Nursery Nostalgia, I love it she did an awesome job with this heritage page. Thanks Stephanie
Have a great Sunday

NEW BLOOD AT SAS

We have our own dear Toiny aka Piggyscraps holding the reins at stoneaccentsstudio.com and we are so excited with all the new refreshing changes coming our way at SAS. SAS is the first site I applied to as a designer and they are truly the best, friendliest digi community I have come across and I do frequent a lot of sites. My other stores are at wonderful sites too but SAS has been a favourite for a long time.
Here is Toiny's announcement from her blog, letting us all know of what she has planned for a newer, bigger, more user friendly SAS.

"I am beyond excited. The world spins in such mysterious ways. Last week things were looking very sad in my world. Stone Accents Studio was losing it's leaders and in danger of closing its doors. Real life has a way of affecting things in the digi world. And vice versa. Because one thing led to another and I have been incredibly blessed... I am the new owner of Stone Accents Studio!I know! I am as stunned as all y'all. And completely, totally excited! Stone Accents Studio was my first "home" here in scrapland. It is still my favorite home. SAS is known for its wonderfully warm, accepting, nurturing environment to scrappers & designers alike. It is my mission to continue to foster that culture as the new owner.I also have a vision to build SAS up into a bigger, brighter version of itself. I am doubly blessed to have some of the most fabulous designers out there stay with me and see me through this transition. Because it is a transition! So come visit, pardon our dust as we shake things up a little, jostle people into new roles, throw some learning curves (especially me!) and continue to make SAS the friendliest site on the web. "

Drop by and share the fun and the love while we recreate a digiscrapping icon that became a little down over the last week. We nearly lost it and you know what they say "you don't appreciate what you have until you are threatened with losing it".
Thanks for listening and I hope to see you around the SAS forums and gallery during this exciting time.

SAS is SAVED!!

Yes this has been a really tough week and it was touch and go for a while whether I would still have my store at stoneaccentsstudio.com A lot of things were happening behind the scenes and finally we have a New Site Owner. Toiny, many of you would know as Piggyscraps, has become the new owner of SAS and she has great plans to bring it back to what it was. And so I am staying put, I will continue to sell and help out as much as I can at SAS, it truly is a wonderful site to be a part of and I am just so happy that it is going to continue to be one of the places I call home for my designs. I love the community and the team is just awesome to work and play with.

So my new kit will go up there tomorrow and I am making a new posting bonus for my challenges, I hope you will come play and check it all out as it evolves over the coming weeks and months. It truly is something special and Toiny is one special SAS-y lady to be taking the bull by the horns there. Thank you so much Toiny for saving our home, you are one gutsy woman.

So If you thought it was going to close, or heard a rumour, I can put that to rest. SAS is NOT closing and will continue to grow and thrive and with the help of the team of the designers, CT and Admin and the support of it's devoted members it will be brought back to how it once was and be even bigger and better.

Look What's coming to my stores

I did this kit with Lisa West as a collaboration for the Bud Club Contest and it is available in coming days at all my stores. I will have this kit up for 50% off for the first week so grab it while it's a steal.

It includes 35 Papers, 55 elements and a full alpha including punctuation. We had a ball making this Nursery Nostalgia Kit and hope you will like it for your layouts
