Big Whoops!! Sorry

Okay so here's the thing... the freebie files for the papers had to be redone!! "Why?" I hear you ask. well I stuffed them up when I created them and didn't realise until I was doing a layout with one. Okay so the original files I set to 3600pixels and 12CM yes CM instead of inches, grrr. So mad with myself for not double checking that so they will still work if you have already downloaded them, just past them onto a 3600px X 3600 px 12inch X 12inch 300dpi document and your fine. But if you want the fixed ones at the right resolution and size you may want to redownload the files for the papers, I only have 2 more files to upload so the ones in the post below are fine and once these other two are up I will repost the links. I just don't want anyone else getting the littler ones LOL. Sorry everybody. I promise to make it up to you tomorrow with a freebie, and yes it will be the right size LOL.

Testing out Windows Live Writer

Okay so this is a nifty little tool and I thought I'd give it a whirl on the blog and if it turns out okay I might use it to post from now on. It allows you to grab stuff from the web and post it on your blog but it is also a lot faster at uploading pics etc so here goes. LOL.

Okay so what's up with us this week. Well, Michael is off to school for a couple of days so we had to get the dress uniform out, and wash the shirt back to white LOL. Also I went to my weight watchers meeting and what do you know I put on 100grams so I am not really phased by it. I did a big ride yesterday and we did a big one today too so hopefully I will shock my system into losing it this next week. I have had some naughty stuff and not done a lot of exercise this week or counted points really so I am not surprised at the gain.

My Layouts have been coming thick and heavy LOL.

This one I did for the Challenge over at mootwodesigns, the template is a creation from Gloria Val Verde and she is doing one for each month. This one I did with pics of me and Michael being February and the month of Valentine's Day. The only thing I had to do was add the colours and effects, easy.

I love this pic of Lucy Lu, a friend's dog, she's such a cutie pie.This layout is created with my own designs. And I did it for a challenge at Treasures to scrap.com where you had to use pink or blue and brown, the brown being required.

Leanne, Lucy Lu's owner, absolutely adores her and you can see why, she's so camera friendly in this pic, she literally poses for the camera, I swear, she does, LOL!!

Okay so I have been using some of my stuff I designed before I took off for the past month LOL!!

And this one I did with my Dear Diary Kit. We had to do a layout expressing what we love about ourselves. Mine was my determination to lose the weight I have so far. It enthuses me to continue and stay strong when the chocolate monster rears it's ugly but yummy head LOL. And with Easter around the corner I will need all the help I can get LOL.

Scrapping Maniac

Yup that's me the last few days LOL. I have been playing catchup, trying to get a lot of layouts done with all of TerrellS's new kits and all the new photos I have since I went away. Okay so here we go!! The layouts down the left side column are all created using TerrellS's Celebrate a Boy's Spring. The first one is of my MIL when she was up visiting us, well she arrived before I left Hobart and then the day I arrived she went to her SIL's place and then returned to us for 3 days before heading off to see her daughter and her family in Brisbane. We had a lovely couple of days together. The next one down that Left side is of Me and Mum at various stops along the way on our journey to Brisbane!! All up the east coast of Australia. And that bottom one is of us with my cousin Aimee who is visiting Australia and so for her first 3 days she was here with us truing to catch up on sleep and get into the time frame before going to Darwin to start her tour of the outback and Ayers Rock. We're looking forward to seeing her in April before she flies back to the UK!!

Now the right side is 2 different kits. The first layout is with TerrellS's Because I Love You kit and is a record of how much weight I have lost from October to February. It's a slow journey but hopefully a permanent one once it's all off. I am nearing the half way mark and reall feeling the difference now.

The next one is of Aimee and is created using TerrellS February Posting Bonus 1. The other one is using the posting bonus and is of me and Gabriella the morning I was leaving to fly home after the big drive. I was lucky enough to arrive early and get an extra day with my beautiful niece.

Now the big news is that Mum rang last night and she has a contract on a 2 bedroom unit in a retirement community so swimming and activities are all included and she pays corporate fees every year but seems quite happy with her choice and now just has to wait out the time of the contract so she can move in. she really did sound very excited and I am so happy for her. I just hope Robbie comes right, then all will be right in her world. Robbie cut himself trying to escape his cage on the plane and was a bit sick when Mum got him home, when she finally took him to the Vet they said he had Kennel Cough so don't go to that boarding kennel with your pets, sigh!!

Okay well today is the first day in over a month where I will be able to spend the whole day with my Husband, remember him, the guy I am supposed to be living and sharing my life with. Well he has worked 3 night shifts so even though all the visitors were gone we still weren't able to spend time together so today is the first day he is off since I got back and we've got no visitors. What's the bet he'll be on his computer the rest of the day when he wakes LOL. He did Special Event overtime for the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras last night so he crept into bed at 5.30 am, once he could find some room LOL. Yes I do take over the whole bed if I am in it alone LOL.

Okay so I am doing no more online today, I'll be with MY MAN!!!

She is Back!!

I'm Home at last and here are some pics to show the events of my helping Mum to Move to Queensland!!

Oh and I got a lovely surprise when I returned to Sydney and I had an email saying I had won Layout of the Month for January!! Woo hoo, that really made my day!!!

Hello All,

Well Ambowife is still away, and I'm missing her. Only six days till her return though so I'll just have to tough it out.

A big Happy Birthday to our son (much featured on her layouts) Christopher - the grand ol' age of twenty. I sent him a text at 18 minutes past midnight this morning wishing him all the best but have not yet recieved a reply.

There's a lot going on in his life with his Gran (Ambowife's Mum) selling up and moving from Tasmania to Queensland, he has not found a place of his own to live and is currently staying with a mate until he does.

Ambowife and the Outlaw (ha ha ha, the motherinlaw) are at the northern end of Tassie at a town called Devonport waiting to get on the ferry that sails today and docks nine hours later in the capital of the most southern state (Victoria) of the Australian mainland, Melbourne. From there they will make a start on the great Mother and Daughter road trip to the north-east state of Queensland. I think it takes 12 hours to drive from Melbourne to Sydney and then another 12 to get to Brisbane in Queensland. I don't think that they will swing by here on the way, I might not let her go!!!!!!!!!!!!

So my mum will come to stay a few nights from Sunday, she paddles in Dragon Boats and of course the Chinese New Year Boat races are on up here in Sydney on Darling Harbour. Then a cousin of Ambowifes from England arrives for a backpacking holiday around Australia and we are going to be her base camp you might say.

During all this time I've been working like a dog doing as much overtime as I physically can on my days off and trying to get an early start on my next semester at University. With the news coming out of the US today, I'm glad that I do my uni study be correspondance.

Well that should be enough of news and my selfpity. Everyone have a 'fabtastic' day and 'she that should be obeyed' will be back in a week.
