LO of Family and Friends

My Mum, My Cousin and My Aunt in a pic taken at our Wedding. I just love the colours in the photo. Great Frocks girls. A Happy Snap for sure.
This one is using TerrellS Romance Collection which is absolutely gorgeous and Blingy. also the Bottom Right Paper is from her Wedding Freebie. This is also a scrap lift of the Adorable LO By GinaCartlin. Gina also does CT LO's for HODS and TerrellS.

A Layout of my Dearest Friend Jo and her Hubby Brett. The photos were taken at our anniversary dinner which was attended by family and the Bridal Party to celebrate our Third Anniversary, since we were home to celebrate.
This kit is TerrellS's Nostalgia, with lovely tones in the papers and Ribbons. Available at the stores at HODS and DSC.

Here I have done a LO of Gabbi learning to knit last time she was down visiting with Gran. The photos are great Mum! Love all that concentration on her face.

As for us , we are well and Michael is working away. We are thinking of going to a new IVF Clinic in Hurstville to give it another try. A friend of Michael's from work went through this centre and recommended her Dr to us. It will be interesting as the DR and all of the staff are female. So I'm hoping that we will achieve some success this time.
So the ciggies will be out the window when we go to this clinic and we'll see if my doses are smaller. They have a website but there isn't really a huge amount of info on it. Guess we'll see what they say. I just hope I don't have to go through all of the testing again, like we did before starting the first year of IVF. Surely they can just get our results from the other Clinic. But who knows.
Hugs to all and hoping you are all well and enjoying life!

Honey, take me for a drive...

I know I know I haven't blogged in a little while but here I am. so as you can see, Michael has highjacked the blog. Silly me gave him the password so he could blog too, since his name is on the title. Hmmm don't know if that was such a great idea now!!!

So if you get too bogged down in Ambo Lingo with his posts you could always jump over to mine LOL. Don't know what he'll think of that Ha Ha!! Maybe we should have seperate sections. Anyway, I haven't Digiscrapped as much as I usually do this week. I have been doing a few things for Michael and his creative endeavours. Also we went for a drive up to Richmond and around to the Blue Mountains and back. I just had to get out of the house. Getting a bit of CABIN FEVER!!! So that was a nice day out and you'll see the results of that shortly. Also I didn't scrap as much because for the first time in a while Michael was home for all of his 4 days off. Usually he ends up getting called in on overtime but this week he didn't, so I had him all to myself for the whole 4 days, and I had to make the most of it, because who knows when that will happen again!

Well as for scrapping, here is a LO of me and JO my buddy and Home Girl. This pic was taken when I was home for our anniversary, it's a night out to dinner with the girls.

I don't know how many of you would have even known about this photo. It was so funny. With all of the rushing about etc that goes on at weddings, nobody remembered the clothes for after the wedding. We stayed in a gloriously lavish Victorian Guesthouse type of Hotel for the night, just over the road from the reception, so we walked there. Yup no putting cans and crap on our car. But the problem was that the next morning before driving home we had to go over to the reception centre to pay the balance of the bar tab. We walked up the main street of Hobart looking like that and walked in on the middle of an ANZAC Day breakfast. A whole room of Scottish Pipers in their kilts and we walk in. To hilarious!!

So I just had to scrap it!!

Okay here's a few pics of our drive on Saturday.

Well Mr Goofy right here for all to see!!

One of the two LO's I did of the view on the Blue Mountains Tourist Drive. It was just beautiful and we both posed for one of these shots!!

Don't you just love the pose. Just for the record, Michael posed first. LOL!!
Used some of TerrellS Paua Blues flowers in this with the sandy paper that I love!!

What can I say, we were there at the right moment for the light to be just right. Beautiful scenery and we didn't even go to the three sisters Echo Point!!

Well that's it from me for now. Off to check out the other sites. Have a great week unless I blog before the weekend.

Hugs

Tracy

Adrenaline (Epinephrine) a reply to Terrell

Adrenaline or Epinephrine is a powerful hormone produced by the adrenal gland on the kidney. Apart from it's cardiac arrest use, it is also a valuable tool to combat the true onset of anaphylaxsis - Hypotension (decreased blood pressure) Oedema (gross swelling of tissue from fluid transfer from blood vessels, leading to obstructed airway due to swelling).
It's common adverse effects, not contraindications, are
Tachycardia - useful when needing to run away!
Pupils Dilate - useful to see things when running away!
Hypertension - Increased BP useful to manage increased muscle demand when running away!
Vomiting and Nausea - it does make you lighter and therefore easier to run away!
Anxiety and possible irregular heart rhythms.
That's what an adrenaline high or rush is, a primitive mechanism to protect ourselves by running away from a threat!
But, depending on the protocol being followed, how much was being administered and how bad your symptoms you don't have to feel the bloody great RUSH it would give us normally.
I've only had one patient with true anaphylaxsis, a young 19y/o female on a first date with a new boyfriend. He told us that she had taken a mouthful of food and he just sat there and watched her face swell and turn red, luckly we were in the area and on scene within 2 minutes and got two shots of adrenaline into her while transporting straight to hospital, a good save. I never did find out if he was going to ask her out again?????

This is the ruth doll Michael was talking about in the previous post.

Ha Ha Ha,,,, I'm watching you!

Hello world, Ambo here, Ambowife has given me access to our named blog, Yoo Hoo!!!!!
So please be patient as I ramble.
Hasn't the scrapbook stuff gone ahead in leaps and bounds?
While I slept yesterday after my second night shift, she produced a caricature of my current work partner for the front page of a little booklet I produce mainly from probationers with useful questions for patients/bystanders.
It was given to me in a very basic form way back when I was a probationer myself and I have regigged it and laminate and bind it all up now and Ruth had not seen it before and asked for a copy, it also has a list a clever words to make you look smart on you case sheet anyway.

Still waiting to get something back from Charles Sturt University. For those not in the know, a qualified ambulance officer here in New South Wales, Australia, holds a Diploma of Pre-Hospital Science. This is obtained by the completion of nearly four months of classroom lectures, practical examinations, clinical examnination interdisperced with three years of Road time as a functioning officer and self directed distance education.
With a push by University's to sell their own courses they have convinced more and more Ambulance Services that a Graduate or Degree level should be entry level as a qualified officer. So you could therefore be seen by an amblance officer who has no real-life experience with the On-Road aspect of this job. There's a lot of 'Spider Sense' in this job, we have to enter some very suspect dark alleys and homes and Dr Gregory House is right, "Patients Do LIE". Anyway I'm attempting to gain some Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) and complete what should be less than 50% of the CSU Batchelor of Clinical Prastice, then I'll have a degree.

The Tasmanian job was affected by this entry level qualification fruckis and they've cancelled the application process and are going to re-advertise the positions sometime but I'm not waiting for them, apart from the CSU course, I have applied for a ten week online course on Scene Management and participation in an Expanded Decision Making course for NSW Health.

So as Ambowife would agree, I've been keeping myself busy and active and now I have this platform to waffle from, Ha, Ha, Ha,(manical laugh)

Till later

Yesterday's LO.

Yes I only did one yesterday. I did a lot of surfing the sites and commenting on other members' LO's so I only got one done. So here it is. The kit I used I have had for ages. It was a freebie kit called Eathy Botanicals Kit -By Lindsay and thanks go Samara L. Gugler - Swirlicious Kit - for the Screw elements. I sepia toned the photos so they would look better on the paper. Great Day and I never tire of scrapping the memories from our wedding day!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

2 New Layouts, and some rambling!

Okay Hope you all had a great Weekend. I have been doing a bit with a new Kit from TerrellS called Paua Blues. It's available at the www.digiscrapcentral.com/scrapshop/ so pop over and have a look at it and all of her other great designs.

The LO above is of Tuffy's Daughter when they were up visiting us last year. She's a real water baby and was in the fountains at Darling Harbour and just drawn to water like it was magnetic or something. Any way on a day Michael wasn't working they went to the War Memorial and Manly Beach. She just loved it!

The LO Below I did with the Flowers n Vines Kit cause I just love it sooo much. This LO was done for a challenge at DSC and as you can see I am all about my family and friends even though they are all so far away. Don't worry guys we're working on it!!

Well that's it for me today. I'm off to watch NCIS and tape it for Michael. I actually got a decent picture on the TV so it will be a lot more enjoyable being able to see it all without squinting at all.
Have a great Day and thankyou to everyone who has posted a lovely comment on my Blog. I really appreciate it. you could even let me know where you're from so I can work out this map and where the dots represent. OK NCIS is about to start and I haven't had tea yet. Yikes!!! LOL.

Look at this!

LOL! !! Look at the fairie ring you american girls have formed on my cluster map. Now that is definitely a cluster. I'm going to have to download a map of the US to see where you are all from! That's all, Just thought that was funny!

Oh I LOVE MEREKATS!!!

Don't you just love to sit and watch the merekats at the zoo? I do! I love watching them watching out!! I watched Merekat Manor on Tele too and they just melt your heart.

I took tons of pics of them when I went to the Taronga Park Zoo in Sydney with Ila and John (My DH's parents) and also when I went with my son Christopher! You can never get enough pics of them. They are so Cute!!! Oh by the way (BTW) just in case you were wondering DH means Dear Husband. I had to explain that to Michael, I think he thought I was calling someone names LOL.

Okay just wanted to share this LO with you I had so much fun doing it. Oh and the whole thing is designed by moi!

Mum's Holiday Snaps. Well Some of Them!!

Okay Here are some things I made in the last few days. Yes Made!!! So exciting! This first pic is a close up of the following paper. I think I might do a layout of Michael in his work garb with this one. All that blue and Red!!

Now the pink Flower was the first attempt at making a flower from scratch and for a first attempt I'm pretty happy with that. the blue one I used a button I made yesterday to form the centre of the flower.

And there's that paper. Quite grungy.

Other than that I have also done a few LO. as per usual. This first one is of my Baby Boy! He was just so darn cute wasn't he. Can you believe that he had silky soft STRAIGHT baby hair!!?

The Kit I used for this Lo was Designed by TerrellS and is called, "Tripping into Spring".

Ah Beautiful Ireland. This is when Mum was over in Scotland and she and Auntie Sadie went over to Ireland. They had this shot taken along the Antrim Coast where they did the Giants Causeway! Lots of Steps. The designer of the elements in this LO are Atomic Cupcake and the flower and ribbon are from the kit "Pistachio Cove" by Sarah Grimwood.

Now I love these pics of Mum on a Glasgow Street. All those cobble stones and the street is sooo narrow! This kit is by TerrellS too. This one is called The Romance Collection. this is such a lovely collection of elements and papers. And the Alphabet is all inlaid on individual tiles with roses burned into the tile. Just Beautiful!!

Well I think that'll just about do for today. I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day and that if you aren't a mother that you were good to your own Mum!

Have a good one!

Should I start Designing???

So you tell me? Do you think the elements and paper on the above Layout are of a good enough standard to offer as freebies as a designer? I really would like any feedback on this so don't be afraid to tell me what you think!! OK? This is a Big Step!!!

Woops!! Almost Forgot!

I forgot to show you my creation outside the computer. Don't you think these are fab?! I got the idea from another blog and when they looked like they might not last the distance on my fridge we decided to Laminate them. Well actually it was Michael's brilliant idea! Thanks Honey!

Hello Again. Ready for the next installment!!?

Well here we are another weekend. And Happy Mother's Day to all for Tomorrow. I am finally back up and running with my PSCS2. The little sucker was being a pain and closing whenever I tried to add text to the LO. Very anoying especially when I hadn't saved it! GRRR! So I think it's all good now. I really am going to have to cut my fingernails, I keep hitting the key above when I am typing. Plus I think it bugs DH as all he hears is the nails hitting the keys LOL. Also on the agenda today is colouring my hair. Yes If you've seen any recent pics of me she's a bit white around the hairline LOL. So just for my Mum for mother's day I am going to dye it again. There ya go mum!! No really, there's a card in the mail with a little something in it. I have a few more LO's to show. Surprised!!?? No I didn't think so. I downloaded some lovely kits from HODS yesterday during their 45% off sale. Huge savings and I then spent the rest of yesterday downloading them. Tee Hee. Couldn't wait!

The first one I did with TerrellS Romance Collection and it's of me and Leanne. I called this Friendship. I don't know if she will see it on the web. I might have to print it out and send it to her. The photo was taken at Chris' 18th Birthday Dinner at the Maypole Pub!

And this one is done with one of the kits I bought yesterday. Just love the colours don't you? this kit is Designed by Sarah Grimwood and is called Pistachio Cove (fabulous name eh?!) And of course the pic is mum with Chris just after coming home from the hospital. Yes he had dead straight hair and lots of it!!
Well I might post again this afternoon or tonight, we'll see how I go. Otherwise I hope you wake up to breakie in bed or something as good and have a lovely Mother's Day.

The Romance Has Just Begun

Here's the latest one. Had problems all day with my program.Think it's okay now. Hope you like this one. I've started using TerrellS The Romance Collection so, you guessed it, you're going to be bombarded with Romantic pics and Wedding pics. But I also think these would work with teenage girl LO's and such.

Michael and I are off to be in the audience of The Sideshow, a new Standup comedy show on the ABC. It's being filmed at their studios at Ultimo, so we're going in tomorrow afternoon and having a meal before we go to the show. Should be a laugh, literally.

Before I go Thanks Jo for leaving me some love. It's so nice to have some comments left on the blog. Have a wonderful day everybody, wherever you are.

John and Amelia

This is a LO (Layout - for those who wonder what these initials mean) of Michael's Dad and Niece. I love the blues in this kit and the great elements. Da Blues definitely is a decieving name because I think it is very uplifting and doesn't give me "The Blues" LOL. Hmmm Ok so it wasn't that funny. Hope you like the layout. If you need to see a closer view just click on the image.

Also if you want to leave comments you can click of the word Comments at the bottom of the post and it will bring up a window for you to enter your thoughts. Go on be a devil. You know you want to!!!

Ok that's it for me today. Have a fab Day!

LO for Ila

Ok Here is the LO I did for Ila, my Mother in Law for Mother's Day. Similar to my Mum's LO but with different elements. The elements include some from Zazou and the ribbons are from Terrell as is the nifty Napkin that is in the ring. I hope she likes it. Ok off to do another Da Blues LO for TerrellS.

BASTET THE CAT GODDESS

Okay this one was way too much fun to do. I absolutely love the fun of the LO and think that TerrellS is amazing. Those 3D papers do most of the work for you. It leaves just the fun bits to do. I enjoyed exploring some new techniques in this one too. The box that the cat is sitting on is a new one for me. And I used the watercolour filter which is also something that I always steered away from but spending the time made all of the difference. Great tool for hiding someones Identity. I'll have to remember that one for future reference.

Hope you all like it and enjoy the rest of the day!

NAN & POP WITH AMELIA

I Just love this pic of Nan and Pop with Amelia. It was a shame we couldn't have been home at the same time and catch up with her. But I had to scrap this pic. Just a lovely Photo and they are both looking up and at the camera too!

Naomi & Matt

I just did this LO with TerrellS Egyptian Nirvana Kit of Naomi and Matt on a camel Trek. I think their pics are awsome and couldn't wait to scrap them when I got the Egyptian Nirvana Kit. I have to find myself some siamese Cats to scrap. That would be cool too!!!

What do you think. I love the elements and the colours are so vibrant and so well ....Egyptian.
Wait till you see the other ones. I have so many ideas in my head. I'm pretty sure I'm dreaming about LO's I want to do. Am I sad or what. But I just LOVE to digiscrap. It's awsome. I'm even thinking of doing some real crafting from my LO. Printing onto media like for gifts etc. We'll see. I think you may be hearing a lot more from me in the coming months.
I'm having so much fun with this...
Have a fabulously decadent day!!!

Sunday, May 6, 2007

Well I just couldn't go to bed before posting this LO I did for My Mum for Mother's Day. She really does mean the world to me and I do miss her dreadfully. So Mum if you're reading this I Love You very much and I hope you like this LO I did of us for you!

Hey there Everyone - WE'RE BACK

Well we had a great trip away TOGETHER! And now it's back to work for Michael.
When we got home I got asked to be on the Creative Team for TerrellS, a designer from America who designs digital Scrapbooking Kits. You can see the Blinkie at the top on the right!

I am so honoured to be using her kits as she is so talented and the elements and papers she creates are truly amazing. As a member of her CT I only have to create a LO per week with one of the kits. I have already done some lovely ones and am going to share them with you here since you are the people I Scrap.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Okay we all know this is Chris. A photo he took of himself, they are the only ones he seems to smile in. But did you know that this is the night he was promoted and got his new rank slides for Warrant Officer and his hat badge. His Grandad would be so proud of him. His aim when he joined was to get to Warrant Officer!
this was created with TerrellS Da Blues Kit!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Some nice action shots of Gabriella. So I scrapped them together. Came out well I think.
This kit is TerrellS Da Blues Kit, too.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Ok this one is just one I used some of wyvern wench's flower elements to bring out this picf of me and Hubby at Erin and Phil's wedding. Anita Spaberg's photo corner & Erika Tenney's background paper.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Okay Me and Thomas at Port Arthur Historic Site, the penetentiary. Lovely Day.
This one was done with the Da Blues Kit by TerrellS, they are so adaptable!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Okay this one I did for a challenge for National Scrapbooking Day, which is an american celebration day for Scrappers, Paper and Digi alike!
I did this for a challenge where you had to express the colours you like most and include a picture of yourself, hence yours truly in the centre there. I chose colours I love seeing together. I just liked the way it turned out. I spent a long time doing it.

Okay well that's all for now. I'm going to try and scrap some of Chris's Warrant Officer's course soon too, so that will be interesting!!

Stay tuned!!
